This Negroni is a classier version of a vodka Red Bull I drank in college or Irish coffee your grandfather may have ordered for dessert. It has caffeine ringing it at 1100mg per liter and booze to boot. This combination works pretty well. The brightness of the espresso highlights the fruitiness of the Campari and the coffee’s oily texture melded everything together. The first Negroni will wake you up, though the jitters of an espresso shot will be dulled by alcohol. This drink is not insomniac friendly!
Ingredients:
- 1oz (30ml) The Botanist
- 1oz (30ml) Mr. Black
- 1oz (30ml) Campari
- Garnish: Orange Peel or Wedge
Directions:
- Combine all ingredients in a glass.
- Fill with ice and stir.
- Strain into a rocks glass filled with a large ice cube.
