Perfect in the heat of summer it is time for a perfect summer cocktail. Right after a tasting with Koval it seems the right to use their bourbon in a Smash. Pulling from their own recipes I made the Rosemary Smash. Smashes are similar to mint juleps, but with a rosemary and lemon twist! It is one refreshing sipper for those warm patio nights.
Ingredients:
- 2oz (60ml) KOVAL Bourbon
- .5oz (15ml) Simple Syrup
- Lemon Wedge
- Rosemary Leaves
- Garnish: Sprig of Rosemary
Directions:
- Muddle lemon and rosemary together in the bottom of a shaker.
- Add Bourbon, simple syrup, and ice.
- Shake, strain, and serve over fresh ice in a rocks glass.
- Garnish with a sprig of rosemary.
